Valley of Flowers

valley of flowers

A World Heritage Site, Valley of Flowers is an Indian National park, a monsoon trek. When you will be driven to Govind Ghat you will have breathtaking rain-washed landscapes and the Alaknanda will accompany you. You will be passing through lush greenery, hillside hamlets and streams. The Valley of Flowers looks like a carpet of colours – green, yellow, red, blue. The flowering pattern keeps changing in few days. Flowers that grow here are rare and the valley is surrounded by mountains with bright snow at the top, brown and grey soil in the middle and trees at lower levels.

Valley of flowers trek is a must do trek by every trekker in the Himalayas. Valley of flowers is located in western Himalayan valley in Chamoli district. Trek starts from Govindghat where you can reach by road from Haridwar.
